Situated on the NSW-Victorian border, Albury-Wodonga has a population of around 90,000 and offers a country lifestyle, as well as the opportunity to enjoy rich historical, social and cultural diversity. But the real prize in the region is CSU's Thurgoona site. Thurgoona has received international attention for its environmentally sensitive design and focus on sustainable living. It stretches over 87 hectares including wetlands and has a distinct focus on native flora and fauna, and a herbarium.
Hundreds of internal students take advantage of the excellent facilities at the Albury City site, which include networked libraries, anatomy and physiology laboratories, and a podiatry clinic.
The city is about three hours' drive from Melbourne, Victoria's capital city. Even closer is the Murray River, Lake Hume and the snowfields.

Sporting ovals, swimming pools, stadiums, golf courses, botanic garden, fishing, indoor basketball stadium. There are also sporting fields for hockey, cricket, soccer, football and netball. The centre boasts a state-of-the-art new museum/library and a number of art galleries.
The area boasts 20 high schools, 30 primary schools and 19 childcare centres.
