Giving to CSU

Friends of Charles Sturt University provide support to the University through the CSU Foundation. The Foundation receives philanthropic gifts in the form of donations, bequests, endowments, scholarships, sponsorships, artefacts, and assets.

Through the generosity of our donors, CSU has become one of the largest regional universities in Australia contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of our communities.

About CSU Foundation Trust

A non-profit organisation, the Foundation aids and promotes excellence in the education, research and service activities of Charles Sturt University by seeking, receiving and administering private sponsorship for the benefit of the University, beyond the scope of the University's general budget.

Philanthropic support helps improve University life and enhances outcomes for our students, their professions and communities via scholarships, industry placements, cooperative research projects and capital development programs.

All gifts to the Foundation $2.00 and above, are tax-deductible.

Fundraising priorities

The Foundation continues to make undergraduate scholarships its main fundraising priority. Since 1984, the CSU Foundation has awarded more than 4200 scholarships to CSU students, totalling close to $13 million. This year alone, CSU will provide more than $1 million in scholarships to deserving students.

With our heart in the regions, the health and well-being of regional communities is also a priority for the University. Fittingly, fundraising efforts also supporting CSU’s Veterinary Science and Pharmacy programs and the Inland Health Foundation.
