Charles Sturt University in Ontario, located in Burlington Ontario, is an expanding part of the University staffed by both Australian and Canadian Faculty and administrators.

CSU in Ontario offers courses in education through the CSU Ontario School of Education, a forensic biotechnology program and business administration programs.

History of CSU in Ontario

In 2005, Charles Sturt University became one of the first foreign universities in Canada to be recognised as a University in the Province of Ontario, and the first to commence operations, with the new Teacher Education program.

On 16 February 2005, the Vice-Chancellor of CSU formally announced that CSU would commence delivery of a Teacher Education program in Ontario, Canada.

The official launch of the Bachelor of Primary Education degree at Ontario Campus took place on 29 August 2005.

The City of Burlington is located in southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario between Hamilton and Toronto. It is a growing municipality and is conveniently located within an hour of both Toronto and Niagara Falls.

With a population of approximately 165,000, Burlington maintains 580.78 hectares of park land and has a quality of life second to none. Some of the best hiking in the world can be done in the local sections of the Bruce Trail and the Niagara Escarpment, which is a UNESCO-designated World Biosphere Reserve, as well as along the Waterfront Trail that skirts the northern shore of Lake Ontario.
