Head of Campus Awards

David Battersby Award

In acknowledging the importance of citizenship as well as scholarships, the David Battersby Award was created by Professor Whiteford in order to recognize the contribution of CSU students as citizens in the region.

Every year, two students are selected from nominations received from CSU schools based in Albury & Thurgoona, (Community Health, Education, Business & IT and Environmental Science), on the basis of their contribution to a community organization. Recipients are awarded a cash prize.

The Award is named after a former Head of Campus and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor David Battersby.

Nominations open 1 October and close on 1 November each year.

Environmental Achievement Award

This is a new award and is designed to encourage staff and students to be active in minimising the environmental impact of their everyday activities or in generating awareness.

The award will go to an individual or a group who can describe a particular activity in which they have made a difference in furthering the promotion and implementation of better environmental management within CSU campus or in the Albury-Wodonga community.

This award is initiated and organised by the Environmental Advisory Management Committee, CSU Albury.

Nominations will close in September each year.
