Special Consideration
The Special Consideration Regulations [.PDF] apply to all cases where the academic regulations provide for a student to seek some entitlement on the grounds of misadventure or extenuation circumstances.
The regulations define students obligations in relation to special consideration, what constitutes misadventure and extenuating circumstances, how to apply for special consideration and what evidence is required in respect of applications for special consideration.
In order to assist staff to determine applications from students seeking some entitlement on the grounds of misadventure or extenuating circumstances in accordance with the Special Consideration Regulations, the Special Consideration Guidelines [.PDF] have been developed.
