The Academic Support Team supports students' aspiration, participation and success in higher education.
Our programs cover the full range of the student life cycle, including: working with school children from Kindergarten to Year 12 in aspiration raising programs; the development of pathway and enabling programs to increase participation and effective preparation; and the provision of support services for enrolled students to facilitate student retention and success.
While many of our programs work directly with students, increasingly the most effective way to provide student support is to work collaboratively with faculty to design courses and programs with essential support embedded within the curriculum. This strategy if often a more efficient and more effective use of resources and ensures the long term sustainability of innovations and developments in students support. Working collaboratively also ensures that Academic Support continues to meet the particular needs of the students in your faculty.
There are many ways Academic Support staff can work with you to enhance the student experience and lots of ways your Faculty can be involved in Academic Support activities that can positively influence student enrolment and success within your course.
