Pathway Program
The CSU Pathway Program is a course for students who wish to study at CSU but who do not meet the entry criteria or require further preparation.
Aimed primarily at recent school leavers, the Pathway program acknowledges the limitations of entry scores such as the ATAR is determining academic potential and seeks to ensure students are not further disadvantaged by socio economic status or insufficient preparation for university.
For faculties and course coordinators, the Pathway Program offers an excellent alternative to offer students who don't meet the entry requirements of your course.
Program structure
The Pathway Program is a combination of eight subjects studied over two 17-week sessions. The equivalent of four subjects are drawn from TAFE Certificate IV in Further Education or Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) and four from CSU's bachelor level subjects.
On successful completion of the program, students receive:
- a Diploma of General Studies from CSU
- Certificate IV in Further Education or Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) from TAFE
- Guaranteed entry into non-competitive CSU degrees
- In some cases, credit for up to four CSU subjects in the bachelor degree
