About Delegations

All managers and executives were asked to input their views on delegations necessary to perform their functions.  Recommendations were collated and reviewed by a working group to ensure consistency across levels of the organisation.  These recommendations were further refined by the Senior Executive Committee (SEC) to reflect practice and appropriate levels of management.

Policies and rules of other universities and NSW Government departments were reviewed, as well as, the scope of delegations, to ensure appropriate coverage.

The outcome has been a significantly better documented set of core delegations and proposals to revise expenditure levels and provide greater flexibility, and to reflect the new governance environment of the University.
