Ettamogah

OZ E Wildlife

Ten km out of Albury, established in 1969, by the Wildlife Conservation Society.

Many of the animals and birds on display were brought in orphaned, sick or injured, and were nursed back to health.

Most of the animals are released into the bush on recovery, some would not survive in the wild and remain at the sanctuary.

A beautiful park with free roaming native birds and animals yarded and caged exhibits, information boards and picnic/barbecue facilities.

A very popular visiting place, for visitors and locals alike year round. Phone: (02) 60403677

Ettamogah Pub

The Ettamogah Pub was the inspiration of Maynard's cartoons and a flash of genius by Lindsay Cooper that saw the creation of Australia's most famous pub.

Complete with old truck on the roof, outward leaning walls, a tree that stands right in the middle (through two floors), talking cockies and old work boots; these days the Ettamogah Pub is the centre piece of a whole village that's brimming with attractions and activities for all the family.

The complex also has built a Pottery and a Blacksmith's Shop, and there's the lock-up in case anyone decides to come the "raw prawn".

For the young at heart try the dodgem cars, an enormous selection of gifts to choose from in the Souvenir Shop and they're all Aussie Made!
