Orange Campus Transition from University of Sydney to Charles Sturt University 2005-2006

On 1 January 2005 management of the Orange campus and its operations transferred from the University of Sydney to Charles Sturt University . This followed the July 2004 announcement by the Federal Minister of Education, Science and Training that the Commonwealth had provided an additional 100 commencing student places to CSU at Orange - in addition to the 240 commencing places to allow Charles Sturt University to increase educational opportunities at Orange .

The NSW Government is yet to pass legislation finalising the transfer of the Orange campus. The University of Sydney and Charles Sturt University have held a number of discussion forums with staff at Orange from July 2004 to ensure the transition occurs with minimum disruption to staff and students. This site records key documents that have come out of those discussions. A range of information to assist staff in understanding the transition process and to ensure you are kept informed about developments relating to the transition will be held on this site.
