CSU offers a package of tuition to support candidates enrolled in the CPA Program® professional level segments.

As the CPA Program is a rigorous and challenging education program with an average failure rate over 30%*, let CSU help you achieve your CPA Program goals by supporting you through the professional level segments to attain your best possible exam results.

CPA Program tuition workshops will be available in Sydney City, Parramatta and Melbourne City in the following CPA Program segments:

  1. Ethics and Governance
  2. Strategic Management Accounting
  3. Financial Reporting
  4. Global Strategy and Leadership
  5. Advanced Audit and Assurance (Paramatta)
  6. Advanced Taxation (Paramatta)
  7. Financial Risk Management (Paramatta)

About the workshops

The comprehensive tuition workshops are delivered in a supportive classroom setting, among a small group of your peers. Incorporating a series of five workshops for each of the professional level segments, the tuition program is delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff who are dedicated to helping you succeed in the CPA Program. 

All teaching staff have a background that includes both professional experience and university lecturing, and all are members of either CPA Australia or The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. This high calibre teaching team has been specially convened for these CPA Program tuition workshops. Staff details are shown on the workshop timetable.

The workshop program

Workshops are staffed by expert teachers and made up of  like-minded CPA Program candidates, all pursuing the goal of passing CPA  Program exams. This creates an ideal learning platform for successful  completion of CPA Program professional level segments.

The CPA Program tuition workshop program for each  segment has 20 hours of classroom activity consisting of:

* four teaching workshops (four hours each), and
* one revision and exam preparation workshop (four  hours).

In addition, online support is available at times between  workshops.
In Sydney and Melbourne, workshops are held in the evening.  In Parramatta, workshops are held at weekends.

Workshops commence approximately one week after CPA Program study guides are distributed and conclude in the week before exams commence. Workshops are evenly spaced throughout the semester. Workshops are conducted in small groups to personalise the learning experience.

Program cost

Full workshop program:
Five workshops for a CPA Program segment - $900 plus GST.

Partial workshop program:
CPA Program candidates can join the workshop program after commencement provided places are available. A reduced fee will apply.

The workshop fee includes attendance at workshops, additional learning materials (including test questions) provided by CSU, light food and refreshments at each workshop.

Note: The workshop tuition fee may be tax deductible depending on personal circumstances.

Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before submitting your registration form:

i. By submitting a registration form, you certify that you are an Associate member of CPA Australia eligible to enrol in CPA Program professional level segments and you agree to CSU confirming your CPA Program candidature with CPA Australia.

ii. The payment to CSU for the CPA Program tuition workshop program does not include enrolment in the CPA Program. Enrolment into CPA Program professional level segments requires a fee to be paid to CPA Australia.

iii. Charles Sturt University reserves the right to cancel workshops if enrolments are insufficient. If this occurs, students enrolled will receive notice before workshops are scheduled to commence and a full refund of fees paid.

iv. If a student withdraws from the CPA Program tuition workshops, fees already paid to CSU will be refunded on the following basis: withdrawal more than 14 days before workshops commence, full refund: withdrawal between 1 and 14 days before workshops commence, 50% refund: withdrawal on or after workshops commence, no refund.
