Bachelor of Information Technology overview

CSU's Bachelor of Information Technology provides you with the skills you need to keep up with rapidly developing technology and become a valued employee in the information technology industry. You can choose the study mode that suits you, with options including:

  • study on campus at CSU's Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst or Wagga Wagga campuses
  • international students can also study on campus at a CSU Study Centre in Melbourne or Sydney
  • study by distance education from almost anywhere in the world
  • combine TAFE and CSU study at the same time.
  • Bachelor of Information Technology

    CSU's Bachelor of Information Technology offers you a strong study program in the business applications of information technology (IT), including subjects based on the Help Desk Analyst and Certified Desktop Technician certifications. You will complete a combination of core and elective subjects, and be able to choose a specialisation that suits your interests from Business Analysis, Network Engineering, Software Design or Systems Administration.

    Applications for study on campus are made through UAC, while applications to study by distance education are made direct to CSU. International students should apply direct to the CSU Study Centres if they wish to study at a CSU Study Centre in Sydney or Melbourne.

  • Bachelor of Information Technology - TAFE integrated program

    CSU and TAFE NSW Riverina Institute have developed an integrated program incorporating the TAFE Diploma of Information Technology (Networking) and the Bachelor of Information Technology from CSU. You will commence your studies at TAFE NSW Riverina Institute's Albury or Wagga Wagga campus, then after six months, you will also commence your study towards the Bachelor of Information Technology at CSU. Approximately half of the course will be completed at TAFE, while the other half will be completed at CSU, and you will receive credit at CSU for your TAFE studies.

    After three years of full-time study, you will graduate with:

    • TAFE Certificate IV in IT Networking or Certificate IV in Information Technology Support (Networking Communications)
    • TAFE Diploma of Information Technology (Networking)
    • CSU Bachelor of Information Technology

    To apply for this program, you should apply to both CSU and TAFE NSW Riverina Institute:

    1. Contact TAFE NSW Riverina Institute and enrol in the Diploma of Information Technology (Networking)

    2. Complete the CSU Application for Admission form. Riverina Institute staff will be able to help you complete this form. Use the admission code 'KBTG' for study at Albury-Wodonga, or 'KBTH' for study at Wagga Wagga

    3. Return the CSU Application for Admission form to Riverina Institute staff, who will process it through CSU on your behalf.

    This course option is not available to international students.
