About studying Education at CSU
Teaching is the single largest profession in Australia, and the field of education continues to grow in size and significance, ensuring that skilled and enthusiastic graduates are constantly in demand. Education encompasses primary, middle school and secondary teaching, vocational education and training, and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
Education graduates are encouraged and supported in ongoing on-the-job and formal training designed to enhance their professional practice.
Educators are valuable assets to the schools and institutions that employ them, and also to their wider communities. New roles in collaborative teaching, using information technology to teach, remote area programs, and a variety of administrative, management and planning roles within increasingly self-managing schools are some ways in which teachers can maximise the positive effect they can have on their students, work environment and colleagues.
