What our students say
"The best thing I've found about studying at CSU is the ability to approach lecturers about things you may not understand in class. I know friends at other universities who will see their lecturer for class and that's it, there is no further contact. Most of the IT lecturers at CSU are happy to talk to you about any problems you have and half the time will come discuss things over a cup of coffee."

About studying Information and Communication Technology and Mathematics at CSU
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) spans a huge range of human endeavour, and is a critical component across every organisation and almost every industry. This makes an ICT graduate someone whose skills are very much sought after.
The steady growth in ICT jobs since 2004 has resulted in a severe ICT skill shortage in Australia and worldwide. Recent figures from the Australian Computer Society predict that the IT skills shortage will grow to more than 14,000 jobs by the year 2010.
As tomorrow’s ICT professional, you will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and choose the type of organisation you want to work in, from a large multi-national corporation, to a small business or government department, here in Australia or overseas.
Mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries are called upon to apply mathematical principles and techniques to an array of problems. With a mathematics background, you may find yourself conducting research; designing statistical collections; studying financial policy; analysing financial risk and investment issues; or solving engineering, management and other problems.
