How do I prove financial hardship?
Either supply or show us a copy of your latest ATO notice, payslips OR Centrelink statement.
If you are on campus you can see a student support officer in Student Services. You will need to take your Centrelink Income Statement or other documentation with you so they can verify your financial hardship and have a chat to see if there is anything else we can help you with such as an Emergency Grant or Student Loan. If you are not on campus email equity.officer@csu.edu.au with your documentation and contact number so we can contact you to discuss.
How many times can I receive food vouchers?
In certain cases you may be assessed as eligible for up to three vouchers valued at $60 each during your enrolment at CSU
Can I give some food vouchers to a friend?
No the vouchers are not transferrable – please refer your friend to us so we may help them as well
Can I buy Alcohol or Cigarettes with the vouchers?
No they must be used for food or personal items only
What other financial support is available?
Apply for a student loan for text books, compulsory excursions, equipment, travelling expenses (i.e. internship or practicum, or other educational expenses as approved
Apply for other scholarships and grants to help with the costs of studying
Search for Equity Resources or the Financial Assistance pages which have links to assistance organisations, help finding work and budgeting resources to help you plan your finances.
