This scholarship comes with assured employment at the end of the Pharmacy course, as the winner will complete a registration year and one year as a Registered Pharmacist working at a CountryPharm Pharmacy, a fantastic opportunity to get valuable real world experience and solid start to your career in Pharmacy.


Eligibility

AVAILABLE TO:
Commencing Students

CAMPUS: Orange; Wagga Wagga

MUST BE STUDYING IN:

First Year:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy

CONDITIONS:

  • Applicant must reside in the Forbes, Parkes, Dubbo, Bathurst or Orange areas.
  • The scholarship comes with an employment offer of an intern placement year and a subsequent newly registered employment year following the end of the pharmacy course. This career-orientated program will equip the newly registered with a range of business and professional practice skills in varied community pharmacy patient management settings.
  • The winner will also work min of 6 weeks paid work per year while studying, this will give the student valuable experience working both in retail and the dispensary and give them a practical knowledge base for future employment in the industry.
  • Ongoing payments will depend on ongoing satisfactory academic achievement and ongoing enrollment.

  • The successful applicant will also receive the following additional benefits:
  • A laptop computer will be awarded to the scholarship recipient
  • Fully paid attendance at a conference during Graduate Year
  • Return flights to oral Board Exam from Pharmacy location during Graduate Year

NOTE:Only ONE on-line Scholarship Application Form should be completed. During submission of your on-line application you should select all the scholarships that you wish to apply for and for which you meet the selection criteria and include copies of relevant supporting documents.

How to Apply

Step 1

  • Read the criteria carefully for each scholarship you wish to apply for to ensure that you are eligible

Step 2

Before you begin, you must prepare answers to these questions:

  • 3 examples which demonstrate your capacity for Leadership (within your School/College/TAFE/University, community or workplace)
  • 3 examples which demonstrate the difference you have made to your community (through sport, the arts or volunteering)
  • a personal statement about your story so far, e.g. what experiences have led you to tertiary study and why you deserve this scholarship? (250 words or less)
  • a statement outlining what receiving a scholarship would mean to you? (250 words or less)

Step 3

Before you begin, you must have copies* of:

  • a copy of your resume
  • if you left school within the last two years:
    a copy of your ATAR results
    OR
    an International equivalent in place of ATAR
  • if a continuing student:
    check your GPA
  • If your selection criteria involves Local Government Areas
    - electricity bill
    - phone bill
    - rates notice
    - school record

* Copies will need to be attached to your online application and provided in PDF, DOC or JPG format.
