Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies
The Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies consists of five core subjects:

THL445 Psychosocial and Spiritual Development in Older People
THL446 Pastoral Care and Elderly People
THL451 Ethical and Theological Issues in Ageing
THL459 The Ageing Person: Challenges for Body and Spirit
Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies
In addition to the five core subjects in the Graduate Certificate, students of the Graduatte Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies complete the following four subjects:
THL444 Ministry with Older People in Residential Care
THL447 Pastoral Care in Mental Health and Dementia
THL462 Theological Perspectives in Ageing
WEL424 Loss, Grief and Palliative Care for Older People
Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies)
In addition to the nine subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma, students of the Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies) complete the following three core subjects:
THL530 Approaches to Enquiry in Pastoral Counselling
THL563 Pastoral Care in Ageing: Family and Social Contexts (16 points)
THL566 Pastoral Practice in Ageing: Politics, Policy and Principles
and one of the following streams:
Pastoral Care
THL564 Dementia: Challenge for Pastoral Care
THL565 Dying, Death and Pastoral Care in Ageing
THL560 Issues in Ageing: Project (16 points)
Research in Ageing and Pastoral Studies
THL660 Masters Dissertation in Ageing and Pastoral Studies (32 points)

Completion of all subjects in Session 1 and 2 above, plus:

THL444 Ministry with Older People in Residential Care
Session 4
THL447 Pastoral Care in Mental Health and Dementia
THL462 Theological Perspectives in Ageing
On completion, students may graduate with the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies.
Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies) (total of 128 points)
Completion of all subjects in Sessions 1 - 4 above, plus:

THL566 Pastoral Practice in Ageing: Politics, Policy and Principles
THL530 Social Research Methods for Pastoral Studies
Session 7
Either:
