Doctor of Business Leadership DBL

The Doctor of Business Leadership course aims to prepare participants for leadership within a diverse range of organisations in the highly evolutionary corporate sector.

About the course

The Doctor of Business Leadership aims to enhance the capacity of its participants to lead large, functionally diverse and geographically dispersed organisations in highly evolutionary corporate environments.

Many corporate leaders have gained their formal organisational positions from performance and meritorious achievements complemented by general management education in courses such as MBAs. However, they frequently have not had opportunities to undertake higher education leadership courses at a level suited to senior corporate executives where the outcomes of Master level courses in management are presumed to have already been surpassed.

The course also aims to meet the needs of a specialised but widespread group of participants who need to demonstrate their academic capabilities beyond a Master degree in a much more demanding course which can make a significant and original contribution to leadership performance in the world’s large organisations.

On completion of the course, graduates will be able to:

Credit

Students receive a credit package of 64 points for the MBA or equivalent.

Graduation requirements

Candidates must satisfactorily complete 192 points, comprising a credit package of 64 points for the MBA (or another Master degree in a management area or an equivalent program) and 128 points (coursework component 64 points and portfolio 64 points) completed during enrolment in the Doctoral program.
