Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to apply both generic and specific skills relevant to the professional needs of the student and the organisational needs of the relevant business or industry, and be involved in continuous learning and the maintenance of a lifelong commitment to professional development.
The Graduate Certificate in Commerce is also a pathway to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) for students without an undergraduate degree. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Commerce, students may receive credit for up to four subjects in the MBA course.
Credit may be awarded towards higher level Master programs within the Faculty of Business if the same subject or an equivalent subject applicable to the Master level program is completed in the Graduate Certificate in Commerce.
Students may receive up to 50% or two 8 point subjects worth of credit into the Graduate Certificate in Commerce for studies completed at postgraduate or equivalent level within the last 10 years.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points (four subjects).
