Master of Correctional Management MCorrMgt
CSU’s Correctional Management program aims to supply graduates or eligible professionals already working within the corrections industry with further credentials and skills to support theory in practice. It covers a broad knowledge base including law, ethics and justice units..
This course is suspended and there are no new enrolments at this stage. Prospective students should see the Master of Social Science (Criminology) or Graduate Certificate in Correctional Management or contact info.csu for further information.

About the course
The Master degree is applicable to those applicants with a prior tertiary degree equivalent to an Australian undergraduate degree or students that have completed the Graduate Certificate in Correctional Management. Students with these qualifications are eligible to enrol directly in the Master of Correctional Management.
Graduates of this course should:
- have an increased awareness of the multi-faceted nature of correctional management
- understand the dynamics and inter-relationship between crime, corrections and society
- have increased skills and abilities in managing prisoners within the correctional environment
- have increased knowledge of legislative, ethical and contextual issues as they relate to managing corrections
- understand historical and cultural factors relevant to correctional management in the Asia-Pacific region
- undertake (where possible) an appropriate practicum in an alternative correctional setting.
