CSU's Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology aims to produce graduates capable of including implant dentistry as an integral element of their practice.

About the course

The use of dental implants has revolutionised dentistry. Designed in consultation with the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development, this course aims to develop graduates who are confident in incorporating dental implant supported prostheses into general dental practice. The course will teach students how to place and restore dental implants from single teeth to full arch cases.

Integral to the course is its practical component. Focusing on the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant dentistry, CSU's Postgraduate Diploma of Implantology includes didactic and clinical sessions with students completing several cases on their own patients under the guidance of mentors.

The course will cover the following aspects of dental implantology:

Students will be assessed through a series of assignments, the submission of four case presentations, and subject examinations. It is expected that students will carry out reading and research outside course hours.

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
