Admission requirements

To qualify for candidature, applicants would usually be expected to hold a Master degree or an Honours degree with Class 1 or Class 2 (Division 1) taken over a minimum of four years.

Applications are considered by the University in light of availability of places, and resources including facilities and supervision.

Intending applicants should contact the Sub-Dean, Graduate Studies to discuss the proposal before submitting the prescribed application form. In addition, applicants must complete a form describing their area of interest, which should accompany their application. Please phone info.csu on 1800 227 337 or email inquiry@csu.edu.au for the contact details of the appropriate person.

Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.

Note that scholarship applications are considered separately. Please contact Ms Avril Ferraro in the Centre for Research and Graduate Training for details of scholarships. Project funding is an important part of a viable project for a research higher degree program. The supervisors of a research higher degree student normally play a major role in developing a budget and funding.
