Graduate Certificate in Ethics and Legal Studies
Students must complete two core subjects:
LAW540 Australian Law and Legal System
PHL402 Ethical Theory
and two electives - one in Ethics and one in Legal Studies (see List A).
Graduate Diploma of Ethics and Legal Studies
Students must complete three core subjects:
LAW540 Australian Law and Legal System
PHL402 Ethical Theory
PHL502 Law, Ethics and Human Rights
and five electives – at least two in both Ehtics and Legal studies drawn from List A. To graduate with a vocationally-specific specialisation, at least three must be taken from the specialist area (see list B).
Master of Ethics and Legal Studies
Students must complete three core subjects:
LAW540 Australian Law and Legal System
PHL402 Ethical Theory
PHL502 Law, Ethics and Human Rights
and EITHER nine electives, at least four in both Ethics and Law, OR five electives and a Dissertation of 15,000-20,000 words (32 points) (PHL506 or LAW550) with at least 24 points in both Ethics and Law.
To graduate in a specialisation the student must have at least four electives from that specialisation (see List B) or two electives from the specialisation and a Research Dissertation in that area.
