Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning

The Graduate Certificate comprises four (4) subjects: one (1) core subject and three (3) restricted electives. All subjects are of eight point value for a total course value of 32 points.

Restricted elective

3 subjects chosen from the following:
 

FIN562 Risk Management and Insurance
FIN563 Estate Planning
FIN564 Superannuation and Retirement Planning
FIN567 Investing in Property
LAW545 Taxation Strategies


 

Enrolment pattern

There is no single prescribed enrolment pattern. The course is designed to enable 3 intakes per year and variations in student workload (many students prefer to study 1 subject per session).  

The following advisory study sequence is provided to students to assist their course planning.

Articulation agreements

An Institutional Articulation Agreement exists with The Flowers Institute an industry partner involved in the development of the course. Responsibility for subject development and intellectual property rights will be equally divided between CSU and TFI.

Professional recognition

The Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning has been registered on the ASIC Training Register.
