The Graduate Certificate in Gerontology focuses on the quality of life of older people, the importance of fostering their rights and dignity and ways of fulfilling their needs.
The course reflects the multidisciplinary nature of gerontology by offering a broadly based, yet integrative approach to major theoretical and practical issues associated with the ageing.
Credit towards the Graduate Certificate in Gerontology may be possible. People who hold gerontology qualifications may be eligible for one subject credit towards the Graduate Certificate.
This course articulates fully with the Master of Gerontology.
Graduates from this course are awarded full credit of 32 points upon admission to the Master of Gerontology.
There are no residential schools in this course. The course can be studied entirely from home through distance education.
