CSU's Graduate Certificate in Gerontology is designed to provide an enhancement of knowledge and skills relevant to promoting the health and wellbeing of older people.
The Graduate Certificate in Gerontology focuses on the quality of life of older people, the importance of fostering their rights and dignity and ways of fulfilling their needs.
The course reflects the multidisciplinary nature of gerontology by offering a broadly based, yet integrative approach to major theoretical and practical issues associated with the ageing.
As there is a mid-year intake for the course, the enrolment pattern may vary from that stated. You should discuss the recommended enrolment pattern with your course coordinator.

Articulation
The Master and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower level course.
Admission requirements
Graduate Certificate in Gerontology
Bachelor degree or, as a minimum, applicants need to have a TAFE Diploma/Certificates and/or work experience in aged services.
Master in Gerontology
This course is available to applicants who are graduates from Bachelor level courses in disciplines such as nursing, allied health, community work, social work and welfare, health science, health administration or public health.
Articulation
This course articulates fully with the Master of Gerontology.
Graduates from this course are awarded full credit of 32 points upon admission to the Master of Gerontology.
Internet access
