Course structure

Graduate Diploma

The Graduate Diploma consists of a total of eight subjects:

Core subjects
ITC411 Introduction to Information Technology
ITC412 System Analysis
ITC423 Database Systems
ITC431 Computer Networks
ITC475 Ethics and Information Technology
ITC493 Information Technology Project Management

Strand subjects
A minimum of one subject must be drawn from Information Technology subjects (coded ITC) at postgraduate level. The remaining subject may be at undergraduate or postgraduate level or non-ITC coded (provided it involves the Information Technology discipline). All selections not from the list below must be approved by the Course Coordinator.

Master degree

The Master of Information Technology consists of the Graduate Diploma subjects listed above, plus a further eight subjects chosen from those listed below (a minimum of six must be at Level 5). Up to two subjects in the Master course are able to be selected from undergraduate level subjects or non-ITC coded subjects (provided these involve the Information Technology discipline). All selections not from the list below must be approved by the Course Coordinator.
