Course structure

Master of Management (Information Technology)

Master degree students are required to undertake 12 subjects comprising six management subjects and six industry stream subjects drawn from one of nine streams.

Graduate Certificate students are required to undertake four subjects comprising one management core subject and three industry stream subjects.

The recommended study structure for this course is one University and one industry-based subject [Code ITI5--] of study each trimester

Industry Stream subjects

There are a number of elective streams consisting of industry certified subjects from Check Point, Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle or the Project Management Institute. The content of these subjects may vary over time as the technology changes, in order for the most up to date combination to be available. Each stream is a complete and discrete unit, however where a student wishes to develop knowledge and skills across technology areas they may, with the permission of the Course Coordinator, choose subjects from more than one stream.

Graduate Diploma of Management (Information Technology)

Upon completion of the one core and of three elective management subjects, and four subjects from an industry-based elective stream, students may elect to exit with the Graduate Diploma of Management (Information Technology).
