Industry streams

Students in the Master choose six subjects from one of the following industry elective streams:

Stream A - Cisco

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including Cisco, EC-Council and VMWare.

Stream B - Microsoft Database Administrator

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including Microsoft, and EC-Council and VMWare.

Stream C - Microsoft Database Developer

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including Microsoft and CAPM.

Stream D - Digital Forensics

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including CAPM, CompTIA and EC-Council.

Stream E - Developing Applications for Mobile Devices

This stream will prepare students to design great applications for phones and other mobile devices. There is an emphasis on programming for Microsoft devices although students may also choose to develop applications for the Android or iOS platforms.

Stream F – Linux

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including SuSE Linux, VMWare, and EC-Council.

Stream G - Microsoft Developer

Students who study this stream will focus on Windows application development– including Windows applications for the web, SharePoint Application development, and developing applications for Windows phones and mobile devices.

Stream H – Microsoft Networking

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including Microsoft, VMWare, and EC-Council.

Stream I – Microsoft Security

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including CompTIA and Microsoft.

Stream J - Multiplatform Security

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including CompTIA and Cisco.

Stream K - Oracle

Students in this stream will study content from a range of industry and vendor certifications, including Oracle and ITIL.

Steam L – Project Management

Students in this stream will undertake a comprehensive set of subjects based on certifications from the Project Management Institute. In addition, students have the opportunity to master the Agile Software Development method and to study a number of ITIL certifications.

Steam M – Australian Computer Society (ACS)

Students in this stream will study subjects from the ACS Computer Professional Education Program (CPEP) and gain credit for these as part of the course.
