The Master of Ministry aims to assist Religious Practitioners and other church leaders to upgrade their knowledge and skills at an advanced level. The course aims to:

Upon completion of the course, graduates will be expected to demonstrate advanced competence in one of the following fields:

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Students may choose to exit with the award of Graduate Diploma of Ministry after satisfactorily completing 64 points..

The degree structure consists of 64 points comprising two core subjects (24 points), three subjects (24 points) chosen from one subject area in the Secondary Stream of the Master of Ministry, and two restricted electives (16 points) chosen from one other subject area in the Secondary Stream of the Master of Ministry.

Candidates for admission to the Master of Ministry shall:

  1. have an undergraduate degree in Theology from a recognised Australian university or equivalent; or hold the Graduate Diploma of Theology with a Credit average or higher; and
  2. have at least two years full-time professional experience in ministry. .

Course materials
When studying by distance education you may receive:

Distance education students usually study two 8 point subjects per semester. More or fewer subjects may be studied in consultation with the Course Coordinator.

Teleconferencing
Telephone tutorials may also be used to supplement face-to-face contact between students and academic staff. Conference calls enable several students, either at home or at a common location, to participate in a group tutorial with academic staff.

Office telephone numbers and email addresses will be supplied and telephone answering services are available in the offices of Course Coordinators.
