The Graduate Certificate in Networking and Systems Administration consists of four subjects (32 points) that satisfy the following conditions:
1. Students must successfully complete two subjects from the pool of CSU subjects offered in the Master of Networking and Systems Administration (see the Restricted List of CSU subjects below)
2. Students must complete two subjects selected from the same industry-based elective stream from those available in the Master of Networking and Systems Administration.
The Master of Networking and Systems Administration consists of six core subjects (48 points) and an industry-based elective stream (48 points). The total value of the course is 96 points.

Stage two
An industry-based elective stream worth 48 points. Currently, there are three elective streams that consist of industry certified subjects whose content may vary over time as the technology changes. The intent is to offer the most up-to-date combination possible.
The streams currently consist of Cisco routing and switching stream, Microsoft MCSE 2003 (or Microsoft Server 2008) stream and Novell technology stream (see www.itmasters.edu.au for further information on the streams).
