Graduate Diploma of Ornithology

Graduate Certificate in Ornithology

The Graduate Diploma of Ornithology consists of a pool of ten subjects, from which students must select eight (64 points).

The first four subjects (32 points) are compulsory for all students and must be completed whilst students are enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Ornithology

BIO430 Avian Biology
BIO431 Avian Systematics
BIO432 Ecology and Conservation of Birds
BIO433 Ornithological Methods

The remaining four subjects (32 points) are completed at Graduate Diploma level. Students select four subjects from a pool of ten. Two subjects should be chosen from the skills subject list.

With 32 point students may opt to exit at this point with the Graduate Certificate in Ornithology.

Graduate Diploma

A further 4 subjects (32 points., 2 subjects (16 points) to be selected from the skills subject list and 2 subjects(16 points) to be selected from the ornithology subject list

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses. Credit is given in the Graduate Diploma for the four subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate
