The Graduate Certificate in TESOL is designed to provide graduates with a firm grounding in the principles, methods and materials of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Also as a basic preparation for employment in the teaching or administering of any of the following fields:
A further aim of the course is to develop students' conceptual understanding of the TESOL area to enable them to effectively continue studies in TESOL.
This course articulates with the Graduate Diploma in TESOL and the Master of Education (TESOL specialisation).
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete four compulsory subjects and teaching practicum requirements.
Students are required to complete a certain number of hours of practicum work. Students should consult the Course Coordinator for details of practicum requirements.
There are no residential schools associated with this course.
