Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages [TESOL]

CSU's Master of TESOL produces competent graduates who are confident participants in, and active contributors to the increasingly diverse and digitising arena of English language teaching locally and internationally.

Why study this course?

CSU's Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program creates opportunities for students to grow knowledge, competence, skills and strategies in English language teaching. Students will learn to foster critical professional leadership in English language teaching and develop skills for undertaking research in English language teaching. The program stimulates students’ understanding of and curiosity for the frontiers of English language teaching and encourages critical engagement in theory, policy and practice of English language teaching.

TESOL graduates will benefit from exciting career prospects and have opportunities to work locally and internationally. Graduates exercise leadership and are equipped with skills to design and manage professional development programs in TESOL. They are able to critically appraise TESOL research, theory, policy, and practice and engage in research and evidence informed TESOL practice. Our graduates contribute to the transformation of TESOL practice and policy in times of globalisation, digitisation and connected learning.
