CSU’s Bachelor of Business (Banking) students specialise in preparation for managerial positions in banking and other financial institutions.

About the course

This specialisation provides you with the formal educational requirements for managerial positions in banking and other financial institutions. The course combines practical and specialist subjects with those that have a more conceptual/theoretical base.

Where it will take you

Career opportunities include employment within commercial banking, investment banking (e.g. corporate finance, international finance, treasury, risk management), funds management, corporate treasuries, stockbroking and investment analysis.

Your course is recognised by industry

This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance at the senior associate level.

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points (24 subjects). These subjects are a combination of core subjects, specialisation subjects and electives.

All distance education students are required to have access to a personal computer (IBM PC or compatible) and spreadsheet software capable of reading Excel and/or Lotus 1-2-3 files. Further information on CSU's internet policy is available under Admission Requirements.

Further study

Meritorious students may apply for acceptance in to the Bachelor of Business (Honours) program.
