There are no specialisations in this program, however, students may choose to cluster subject choices around particular areas of interest or opt for an array of areas of study to give a taste of the various business areas to better inform students about potential career choices. Students are also encouraged to consider undertaking subjects which develop work ready skills.
Subjects offered within the Faculty of Business provide an optimum blend of theory and practice and aim to provide the student with both soft skills such as communication, problem solving and ethical understanding to enable them to work with people, as well as the hard skills associated with particular areas of study, including management, marketing, finance, law, economics, accounting, computing, mathematics, operations and project management. Workplace learning subjects will offer strategic and international perspectives that will prepare students for employment in regional, national and international organisations.
International students may study these courses through CSU regional campuses or the CSU Study Centre Sydney or Melbourne.
An intake in Session 3 is available for Study Centres and distance education students.
As with all Faculty of Business courses, the Bachelor of Business Studies is designed and delivered with study flexibility in mind. Students can choose between full-time and part-time study options to fit in with work and lifestyle commitments. Students could choose to study just one subject in an academic session or, with approval, fast-track degree completion by undertaking four subjects per session.
