CSU's Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) is the starting point for you to enter into the exciting world of research in computer science and data analysis. The course is designed for students who have completed their bachelor degree in IT or computing and wish to further develop their programming and problem solving skills through research training.
Honours students will conduct a research project closely supervised by one or two experienced academic staff. In many cases, Honours students work closely with their supervisors in research teams.
Students will have the opportunity to learn state-of-the-art computational approaches used in modern science and engineering and data / information processing applications in industry and the public sector.
Most Honours students in this course are sponsored by a scholarship from the Faculty or University.
This Honours course is undertaken after students successfully complete their bachelor degree in IT/Computing and comprises a dissertation (75% of the workload) and coursework subjects (25% of the workload) at graduate level. The course also prepares students for postgraduate research degrees such as a PhD or Master by research.
