Student equipment and learning aids
Students will be required to have access to a number of learning aids and equipment in order to complete their studies in the Bachelor of Dental Science.
Items students must purchase and their approximate costs are:
FIRST YEAR:
Simulation Kit (this kit contains equipment and tools that you will use for the duration of study) - $1,500
SECOND YEAR:
Students are required to purchase the articulator, which will be retained for use in practice after they graduate. The price shown is for the articulator specified in 2010, but prices may change, and a lower cost model may be available in future.
Most of these items are available through the retail store on the Orange Campus.
The University will also provide each student with a whip mix block.
Additional student purchases will be required in years 3, 4 and 5. Students will be notified as details become available.
You will make a student contribution (formerly HECS) towards the cost of your tuition fees.
Options:
| $8,388* | Student fee contribution for your first year of study |

* This is an indicative 2010 figure based on a standard equivalent full-time study load of eight 8 point subjects per year (64 points). Part-time and distance education students will usually study only four 8 point subjects per year (32 points).
