Associate Degree in Applied Science (Food Processing) AssocDegAppSc(FoodProcess)

CSU's Associate Degree in Applied Science (Food Processing) course is especially designed for those already employed in the food processing and manufacturing industries who might wish to upgrade their qualifications.

This course is suspended and there are no new enrolments at this stage. Prospective students should contact info.csu for further information.

Continuing students should consult the Handbook from the year of their enrolment for information about this course.

About the course

This course is especially suitable for those already employed in the food industry who might wish to upgrade a TAFE qualification. Although the course would normally take four years of study, exemptions for previous study may be given which will reduce the time required to complete the course.

Where it will take you

The food processing industry is one of Australia’s largest growing industries. Many employment opportunities are available in food processing plants for suitably qualified persons.

The latest facilities

Students are able to gain experience in the University’s food processing plant which features state-of-the-art equipment. The University also operates a commercial cheese making factory in which students may gain hands-on experience.

Graduation requirements

To graduate students must complete 128 points.

CSU Connect Bridging Program

Applicants who have successfully completed the University’s CSU Connect Bridging Program will be guaranteed entry into this degree course (for study by distance education only). Inquiries regarding this program should be directed to the Charles Sturt University Contact Centre on 1800 334 733.

Residential schools

Intending students should note that all subjects have a compulsory residential school at the Wagga Wagga Campus for approximately two to five days duration.
