CSU's Bachelor of Business (Marketing) equips graduates for a career in marketing management.
Marketing managers launch products, develop and maintain a brand's image and formulate marketing and communication plans to generate, maintain and increase existing business. This course is designed to give graduates the practical skills and theoretical grounding to develop a career in marketing.
CSU's Bachelor of Business (Marketing) teaches the integrated processes used to determine what products or services may be of interest to customers, the strategies to use in sales, communications and business development, and the techniques that are used to build strong customer relationships and create value for customers, stakeholders and businesses themselves.
As a graduate, you will be educated to respond to the needs of industry and commerce, particularly in the areas of branding, international marketing, marketing research, marketing communications and strategic marketing.
The flexibility of the course offers the opportunity for students to select additional subjects that would help realise their career aspirations or meet specific industry needs. Three workplace learning subjects designed to facilitate integration between university learning and practice in a real work context further ensure that graduates are highly sought after by employers.

To graduate with the Bachelor of Business (Marketing), students must complete 192 points at pass level or better. These subjects are a combination of core subjects, specialisation subjects and electives.
Students in the Bachelor of Business programs may use the Diploma of Business Studies as an exit point should they decide to terminate their studies at an earlier stage. However, students must meet the Diploma of Business Studies criteria.
For each 8 point subject at CSU, students should normally expect to spend between 140-160 hours engaged in the specified learning and assessment activities (such as attending lectures or residential schools, assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, assignments or examinations). The student workload for some subjects may vary from these norms as a result of approved course design.
Students will be assessed on the basis of completed assignments, examinations, workplace learning, or other methods as outlined in specific subject outlines.
Where applicable, students are responsible for travel and accommodation costs involved in workplace learning experiences, or attending residential schools (distance education students).
Expectations relating to academic, workplace learning, time and cost requirements for specific subjects are provided in the subject abstracts and in course materials.

CSU offers Business courses in the discipline areas of mathematics and statistics, IT, marketing, management and accounting.
Enrolling in the Master of Human Resource Management was a vital step in my lifelong learning path and one that has helped me enormously in building credibility in my chosen field, while simultaneously gaining valuable practical experience.
The issues and topics we are learning in class are relevant to the industry today. The importance placed on career management has been highlighted in a few of my recent subjects and this is one very valuable tool regarding the workforce.
The decision to study at CSU was an extremely easy one to make. The University offered all the flexibility required to study while working full-time and travelling overseas. With the ability to fast-track my studies with the three-session timetable, CSU was the obvious choice.
After having studied at another university, I have found the support, encouragement and subject delivery at CSU to well and truly exceed my expectations.
