The Education Studies strand offers subjects in child development, Aboriginal culture and history, teaching for learning and education, and society and social justice in Australia. This suite of subjects provides the student a contextual foundation of education ranging from primary to secondary education learning environments.

The Pedagogy Studies strand allows for in-depth teaching and learning in the field of studio pedagogy. The sequence of subjects culminates in a research project that will investigate/examine the pedagogy of the student’s chosen instrument in the studio setting.
The Professional Studies strand is sequentially proposed, but pace of achievement will be directed by the student in each particular case. Completion of an AMEB grade can take more than a semester of study.
