Cost of study

Australian and New Zealand students

Commonwealth supported place

You will make a student contribution (formerly HECS) towards the cost of your tuition fees.

  1. Defer your payment using a HECS-HELP loan, which is repaid through the taxation system once your income reaches a certain threshold
  2. Pay your student contribution fee up-front each session
$6,016* Student contribution fee for your first year of study

* This figure is the estimated 2014 student contribution fee for a first year student studying full-time (i.e. 1 equivalent full-time student load or 1 EFTSL). Fees may differ based on the subjects chosen. A full-time study load is eight 8 point subjects per year (64 points). Part-time or distance education students will normally study less subjects in their first year (typically 4) and will therefore incur proportionally lower fees. If the full course is less than 1 EFTSL, the figure displayed is the actual student contribution amount calculated across the full course.
