Course structure

The double degree program consists of a total of 32 subjects (256 points) as follows:

The Science major must contain a minimum of 72 points (the equivalent of nine standard subjects) with at least 24 points at Level 3 or higher, and the minor must contain a minimum of 32 points (the equivalent of four standard subjects) with at least 16 points at Level 2 or higher.

The number of free electives undertaken depends upon the number of subjects undertaken in the science major and minor, but sufficient free electives must be undertaken to make up a program of 256 points. At least 50% of the free electives must be completed at Level 2 or above.

Information Technology major

An Information Technology major comprises six compulsory subjects in a related area of information technology, plus two, either taken from the restricted list associated with each major or as specified by the Course Coordinator.

A major must be chosen from one of the following discipline areas. Within the chosen major, the student may select an appropriate combination of subjects (provided the minimum requirement of 72 points is met), as approved by the Course Coordinator.
