Course structure

The course requires the satisfactory completion of 192 subject credit points, normally comprising 24 subjects. The equivalent of 19 subjects are to be in theological fields. The degree can be structured in one of two ways:

Either structure must include:

  1. a minimum of five subjects in each of Biblical Studies and Theological Studies, either as a minor (five subjects) or as a major (eight subjects)
    and
  2. nine core subjects as follows - the first six of which count towards required subjects in Biblical Studies and Theological Studies, respectively:

No more than 10 Level 1 subjects (80 points) may be counted toward the Bachelor of Theology degree.

Majors

A major is a group of eight subjects in the same sub-discipline that reflects both breadth and depth of knowledge. Unless otherwise specified, two subjects must be studied at Level 1, at least two subjects at Level 2, and at least two subjects at Level 3.

Minors

A minor is a group of five subjects in the same sub-discipline. Unless otherwise specified, two subjects must be studied at Level 1, at least one subject at Level 2, and at least one subject at Level 3.
