CSTL Research Retreat April 9 and 10, 2005
Guidelines for Presentations and Papers
1. Presentations
Your presentation should be based on the accepted abstract and the submitted paper, but should not consist of a reading of that paper. Presentations should attempt to briefly outline the focus of the paper and should stimulate discussion. Presentations should be a total of 35 minutes, with 15-20 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for questions and discussion. You may wish to suggest areas for discussion.
You are encouraged to bring handouts which support your presentation but do not merely summarise the paper. We will provide you with the number required after registration closes.
We will provide a laptop, a data projector, and an overhead projector. If you require any other equipment, please let us know.
If you are using PowerPoint and the laptop provided, please submit the file by email to jmcgregor@csu.edu.au one week in advance. If you use your own laptop, set up time will have to be included in your 15-20 minutes of presentation time.
2. Refereed Papers
Papers submitted for refereeing must be original and not previously published.
The following criteria will be used to referee the papers:
