"Since graduating, I have been able to gain experience by working in wineries in France and Portugal, while also working in different areas of the wine industry in Australia, including Orange, Central West NSW and the Margaret River wine region in WA.
"I'm currently working as a trainee at Quinta Vale D. Maria, a winery in the Douro Valley, Portugal. Every day is different in the winery so I never have a chance to lose interest. It is also very rewarding to be able to see (and taste) the products of all our hard work.
"I was terrible at Chemistry at school, but I managed to graduate from a science degree and now I use chemistry every day when I am working. I also applied for scholarships each year of my course and was lucky enough to receive a couple, which were a huge help.
"I have kept in contact with other CSU graduates and we help each other with different work opportunities that come up. I often chat with other people in my year about where they have worked and we share advice to help with career progression in the industry."
