CSU Live Testimonial

20 years logoDr Bill Lord
CSU graduate and former CSU lecturer

"The development of a Bachelor-level qualification for paramedics began in the early 1990s, and was driven by the need to ensure that paramedics had access to education that prepared them for the significant changes in practice due to changing social needs, as well as new therapies and primary health care interventions to improve the health of the community. My key memories were the enthusiasm of the students, particularly those who had relocated to undertake full-time study at Bathurst to enable a career as a paramedic. Also memorable was the initiative shown by the small team of academic staff in adapting facilities to enable the teaching of clinical skills."
