"I was motivated to study at CSU as I wanted to have a career after sport. I always had a plan that after the 2010 World Cup I would get serious about a business career and in 2011 my employer gave me the opportunity to go back and study.
"I am a former Australian women's rugby union player. My greatest career highlight was representing Australia at a World Cup. CSU's online delivery has provided me with the flexibility to fit my study around training. At times it has been a juggle and I've had to be disciplined.
"For me personally, I will continue to study and grown within my current organisation. I am also going to pursue coaching opportunities and hopefully continue to develop the next generation of women rugby players. My advice to other elite athletes who are considering study is it's important to have a pathway post your sporting career. While my current qualification is not relevant to my sporting career, if an opportunity were to come up in a sporting organisation I would jump at the chance to combine my passion for sport and accounting."
