"I was motivated to enrol in a course at CSU because it was a rural university with great student support. When I commenced studying I lived in Bathurst for two years and also lived on campus for four years. My most memorable moment was my time working as Head Resident of CSU Diggings and as President of the CSU Bathurst Rugby League Club.
"Whilst I was studying I also worked, volunteered and played sport. I always ensured I balanced everything and knew when to push hard and switch off. Studying online provided me with self-paced study, but I did prefer the face-to-face study as it was easier to network. My biggest mentors have been my strong support networks at CSU, from the academic staff through to student services, residences and the many students I met living on campus. I learnt so much both academically and personally through my time at CSU.
"Completing the Master of Management has enabled me to pursue my dream of employment in the sports management sector and I am currently the NSW Sales Manager for ISC Sport Teamwear Division. I frequently use the skills and theories I learnt in my postgraduate degree in my current workplace. Completing a workplace-focused assessment has also enabled me to relate my study to my career. This also acted as a great motivation as I was excited to do my assessments (most of them, anyway!).
"I have always loved sport and its positive impact on people. My greatest career highlight was working for the National Rugby League and growing rugby league in Victoria. Although I am not an elite athlete, I have been privileged to have the opportunity to work among numerous Australian sporting bodies. My advice to anyone considering further study is to embrace the opportunity and take it on wholeheartedly. I will always be thankful for my time at CSU. I learnt so much and I am a better person from my time at University.
"Life is always an open book, and I will jump at any opportunity, which I am excited about!"
