"My most memorable CSU experience was being the first person from my family to graduate with a university qualification. I completed my Graduate Certificate in Commerce with CSU, and really enjoyed the experience, particularly the graduation, where you were made to feel like you mattered to the University. When considering further study, I was quite specific about the majors I wanted to do; I also wanted flexibility, and I didn't want to just get 'lost in the crowd'. I was also looking to progress, and a Masters was pretty much expected these days. CSU offered the combination of majors I was after and it was also more affordable.
"While I had many years' experience in the workforce, I found the course content often gave context to the user end information I dealt with at work. I found it very useful in terms of how the higher level decisions were being made.
"I lived in Melbourne while I was studying and my daughter was doing her VCE, so study time became our mother-daughter time. I thought we might as well study together.
"For someone considering studying at CSU, go for it. It's been a great experience for me. CSU is unique in that it is a smaller and more caring environment. When you speak to the lecturers, they care, and they acknowledge the individual."
